XD Before I start, this isn't part of the Crazy Crew Fanart!
A little more than a year ago, I drew a fanart of Mikazuki's character Akami, and you can see the fanart I did here.
That was really one of my first drawings that I actually went "all the way" and colored it. It was fun, but of course, it was kinda well...bad! XD
As of October last year, I decided to kick my own ass into gear and really learn how to draw, instead of drawing once, then looking at it and going "Aww this sucks, I'll never be able to draw!" and giving up. I've definitely come a long way since then, so I wanted a way to gauge my progress as an artist...
XD Oh! I know! How about I re-do my two of my first complete drawings every year, and see how far I've come since the last one? So there you have it. This is a "re-creation" of last year's fanart of Akami, and I hope to do this every year for at least the next two years. I'll be recreating my fanart of Mika's Rishu soon too.
XD Sorry about the history lesson. Enjoy!

CommentsI didn't plan to do much with Akami, she was just a website header idea. But wow, this feels like Akami has a fanbase, even if a little one. Thank you so much!
As for the art progress, it hasn't even been a year since you started walking the road. It's been real rough for you, but you're a real fighter, yeah. No going back now! Wow Deb, very clean and cool. Akemi sure is looking swell and so is ur artwork. As u grow, so will ur artwork and it speaks for itself. Keep it up!

^^ I'm glad that it speaks for itself, because for me art is how I feel like expressing myself at a given moment. This time I felt like I wanted to express "Rebirth" or "Renewal". Thanks Fell! Sometimes you get knocked down and around a bit, but life wouldn't be worth living if you didn't have the chance to get back up!
